Hi Yuxin. I thought you mentioned many great points about the importance of media literacy. I definitely agree that evaluating and analyzing content we see online is important, especially with the many sources we are constantly exposed to every day. These sources include television, newspaper, advertising, magazines, and social media. I also think another reason media literacy is dismissed is that many of us do not know who or where to reach out to really understand how to evaluate media content. One of the great ways is to have a PLN that values media literacy because there is so much to learn. Thank you for sharing!
Hi PicPen. I enjoyed reading your post and thought you explained the conflict between media literacy and factual information really well. I agree that the media shows what they believe people will like or want. This becomes easier on social media when platforms know your interest or what you have been searching, like your video game example.
